I just saw a segment on the news on our accomplishments today. it was fun to see and show my friends and family. it has been so much fun working with you all, and experiencing this with you. i know this wont be the last time i talk to you, even though the project seems over. I`m so happy !!!!

A few minutes ago, I wrote a biologie-test, I can`t conzentraied me because I always thought of this project !!!!

We thought the videoconference doesn`t work but yesterday pierre and mr Fusco had maked it, know its working.
If we have seen Mr. fusco, we were all happy, and thats realy not normal, because I can`t remind me that I was ever lucky to see the face of a teacher !! :) !!

The others of our group will see you in a few hours, because yesterday they leave the school before the videoconference has been working.
They haven`t seen the rover, too.

I`m looking forward to see the canadian groupmembers !!

Hello Everyone in Germany,

Your rover has arrived. However, it did not survive the mission intact. It is a good thing we have qualified technicians standing by to reassemble your lander. Please send us photos of the rover so we can reconstruct it for you.

Did our rover make it intact? I will post pictures of it on my website just in case you need to rebuild it. They should be there later today. I will also include pictures of the ground crew (my students).

I am looking forward to testing out our video conference on Thursday.

Wow....as the day gets closer the number of posts are starting to increase. I translated the message below and here is what came out.............

You were right.....babblefish does not do a great job but I think our students can figure out what is being said.

Hi to Canada!

The last few days we focused on finishing the rover so our landscape is a little bit behind, but it will surely be finished in time. It still needs some more ..ehm... shaping and colouring. You set the level very high with your beautiful landscape with polar caps:-)
As soon as we finish I*ll try to send some photos, but we still have no URL, which makes it more difficult. Can we send the photos attached to an email?

Hello to both teams!

Well, the German rover has had a successful lift off and is on route to Canada. Due to the time difference (6 hours) the Canadian rover is still on the launch pad waiting for lift off, which will be soon. Congratulations again to both teams and we all keep our fingers crossed for the safe journey of the rovers.

Hello Everyone in Germany!

We have finished our rover and hope to send it soon. It still has a few bugs but my students have sorted them out pretty well. It will go forwards and backwards and sometimes it will turn.

We are still trying to get our video conferencing software to work but there are a lot of really smart people trying to solve that issue right now.

Our rover is ready now !!! He can move like a snake ( just a joke) ! Which problem with getting your rover to turn have you? Doesn`t work the control lab or doesn`t work your rover? If you sent us a message fast, we can help you perhaps.

How long does the traveling from canada to germany ?

Our cabels have colours so you can decide where you put which capel.
red (two) = motors
blue = sirenen
without any colour= lights.

just a little hint to help you with the turning of your vehicle.....what would happen if you turned the back left wheel forward and, at the same time, the back right wheel backward? give it a try and let me know what happens....if you want some more hints about how to accomplish this, let me know...

hi, we are going to be posting pictures of us in the next little while! but first we were wondering if you have any helpful hints or suggestions to create a working turning system for our rover. we have a couple prototypes we have been working on but as the deadline approaches we are faced with the problem of getting the rover to turn directions. If you have any suggestions or even want to let us know how you are going to steer your rover, any advise would be helpful!!!!

hello again. there are 4 of us in the canada group, 5 including mr fusco. we have been working very hard and have been using our lunch times to construct our mars surface and rover. we have been getting used to the equipment, even though some things took a little time to figure out. we are all enjoying this unique opportunity to connect and communicate with students(you!) so very far away from where we all live. i hope that everything is going well on your side. let us know how you are doing ASAP!
